1.
Little Light 02:48
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine! All around the world, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine! Everywhere I go, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine! Deep inside my heart, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine! Hide it under a bushel? [NO!], I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
2.
We shall overcome, we shall overcome, We shall overcome someday. Oh deep in my heart, I do believe We shall overcome someday. We'll walk hand in hand, we'll walk hand in hand, We'll walk hand in hand someday. Oh deep in my heart, I do believe We'll walk hand in hand someday. We are not afraid, we are not afraid, We are not afraid today. Oh deep in my heart, I do believe We are not afraid today. We shall all be free, we shall all be free, We shall all be free someday. Oh deep in my heart, I do believe We shall all be free someday.
3.
This-a freedom train is such-a Long time in a-coming, and there's None who can't afford it so just Come and climb aboard it Singing freedom Gotta have freedom Gotta have freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom ...
4.
Keep your lamps trimmed and burning, The time is drawing nigh. Children don't get weary, Till your work is done. Wish that journey almost over, The time is drawing nigh. Children don't get weary, Till your work is done. Keep your lamps trimmed and burning, The time is drawing nigh.
5.
We shall not, we shall not be moved, We shall not, we shall not be moved. Like a tree that's planted on the water, We shall not be moved! We're fighting for our freedom, we shall not be moved, We're fighting for our freedom, we shall not be moved. Like a tree that's planted on the water, We shall not be moved! Young and old together, we shall not be moved, Young and old together, we shall not be moved, Like a tree that's planted on the water, We shall not be moved!
6.

about

In the new year, our school community turns to recognize and celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as the tribulations and triumphs of Black History. This collection of 'Freedom Songs' draws from the U.S. Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 60s, the African-American spiritual tradition, and the Anti-Apartheid Movement of South Africa in the 20th century. With humility, and great enthusiasm, we present these songs to the world!
